This screen is normally designed to reduce laser speckle. I tested the Valerion VisionMaster Plus 2 and did not notice any speckle. The maintenance of this type of screen should be easier than that of a screen for UST, given that the surface is completely smooth.

Excellent image quality – ALR screen enhances colors and contrast, especially with 4K content.
• Ambient light rejection – Reduces reflections for clearer images in moderately lit rooms.
• High-quality build – Flat surface gives much better results than projecting on a wall.
• Note: This screen requires a projector with strong brightness (high lumens) to achieve its full potential, ideally ≥2000 ANSI lumens, especially for 120″ or larger.

Bottom line: Great screen for crisp, vibrant images, but a high-lumen projector is essential for optimal performance.

Great first screen for a home theater setup

I purchased this screen to use with my long throw projector (Optoma 4K). This is used a a room with ambient light. The screen operates very well and provides a great picture in both low light and moderate ambient light conditions. I had previously just used a painted wall and this screen provides improved picture quality.

It's not a theater room without a screen!

Seriously amazing. I normally never feel compelled to write reviews. However, this wowed me enough to do so. I'm convinced it's the best quality. As I'm sure you know, the biggest drawback of projector screen is needing a dark room. Well, not with this screen. Of course dark is always better, butall my lights are on and it's still pretty dang bright! Granted, they aren't very bright lights, but nevertheless, it looks really good. Assembly was smooth sailing and didn't take me long either. Do yourself a favor and just buy it!
